Piper and Chantry are shortly to open Tippett's 'Boyhood's End' as part of English Touring Opera's Lyric Solitude season (programme 3). They have created a response in dance to Hudson's text and Tippett's music, which Chantry is dancing in as the physical representation of the tenor (Tom Elwin's) voice. The piece is a cantata which, alongside three other pieces, makes up the programme. Lyric Solitude Programme 3 opens on Oct 24th at Snape Maltings Concert Hall, and from there tours to Tunbridge Wells, London, Altringcham, and Poole. Booking details are being released progressively on the ETO website here. |
